Doctors
Himanshu Suri, Medical Director
Dr. Suri is a Pain Medicine and Headache Medicine specialist with special interests in Interventions and complex headache syndromes including Post-Concussive syndrome. He completed his medical education at HWCOM in Miami, FL followed by Residency training in Neurology at the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He then completed multiple fellowships in Headache Medicine at the MedStar Georgetown Headache Center and Interventional Pain Medicine at Keck-USC medical center in Los Angeles, CA. He has worked in academic and private settings, helping start the headache program at the VA Medical Center in Miami as the Director of the headache department while teaching medical students and residents from University of Miami. He also helped the Miami VA site become a member of the Headache Centers of Excellence (HCOE), which provide specialized clinical care, education, and research for Veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic headache, and severe, refractory migraine headaches. He is adept at interventional procedures including, but not limited to, epidural injections, RFA's, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, and implants.
Michael Trainor, DO
Dr. Michael A. Trainor is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada, specializing in minimally invasive cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal surgeries, microdiscectomy, deformity surgery, fracture care, and joint replacements. He earned his Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Notre Dame—where he was a four-time boxing champion—before completing his medical degree and orthopedic surgery residency at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a spine and neurosurgical fellowship at the Kenton D. Leatherman Spine Fellowship Program at the University of Louisville. A former 1996 Chicago and Illinois State Golden Gloves Heavyweight Champion and U.S. Olympic Boxing Pretrials competitor, Dr. Trainor practiced in Arizona from 2004 until 2015 before moving to Las Vegas to practice alongside his twin brother, Dr. Timothy Trainor. He holds leadership and medical staff roles across several Nevada hospitals, serves on the Board of Trustees for the Mutual Insurance Company of Arizona, and is an active lecturer and member of major professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.a
William Baumgartl, MD
Dr. Baumgartl has a rare background combining Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, and Medicine. After receiving a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Engineering from Virginia Tech, Dr. Baumgartl went to medical school at the University of Florida. Following this, he did training in orthopedic surgery, and completed his Residency in Anesthesiology, and a Fellowship in Pain Management at UC San Francisco.
Marcelo Gomez, PA-C
Marcelo completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science at Brigham Young University, Provo, UT. He then went on to obtain his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, MA. He is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. And he is professionally associated with the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants. He enjoys working with people having worked in customer service for 15 years in various professions. He has been in pain management for almost 5 years and wishes for his patients to receive the optimum care they need in order to recover from their injuries. His favorite hobbies and activities include cooking, playing tennis, volleyball, and baseball, running Spartan obstacle course races, and traveling around the world.
Dr. Magdalena Malloy, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Magdalena Malloy, DNP, handles comprehensive psychiatric mental health services with extensive family and individual mental health training for over 8 years. She is experienced in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions for children and adult patients in urgent care, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and office practices. She is licensed in Nevada, Hawaii, and Illinois. Most of Dr. Malloy's work is done via telehealth but she does go into the office. She will handle new consults, evaluations, transfer of cares, 2nd opinions and IMEs. She can prescribe medications (if need be), she can do therapy, neuropsych testing, and diagnose and treat PTSD.
The goal is to provide comprehensive and/or alternative medicine that will improve the patients wellbeing. The results have shown that combination of therapy, medication, and education is best to achieve patients' goals.
